the founder

Raffaele Nicoletti

In 1989, Raffaele Nicoletti founded Tecnoblend with the goal of bringing innovation to the Italian gelato industry. It was the first company in Italy to produce lactose-free gelato mixes, anticipating a market that did not yet exist. The company philosophy is based on Lean Thinking and the Japanese principle of Kaizen: continuous improvement, waste reduction, and rigorous quality control. Today, Tecnoblend exports to over 50 countries, while keeping production in Italy and maintaining an in-house R&D laboratory that develops every formulation from start to finish.

“I believe that striving for perfection is a duty of every company and every entrepreneur worthy of the name. Perfection is a starting point; research is the means that allows us to discover ever-new methods, and control completes the process.”

Sustainability

Sustainability is part of our everyday way of working. Every production choice is guided by the pursuit of efficiency: reducing energy waste, optimizing processes, and recovering resources. We invest in continuous training for our team and maintain a direct relationship with the local area. This commitment translates into concrete actions: from designing lower-impact packaging to adopting circular economy principles throughout the entire supply chain.
